Research
Dr. Darling is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at UMass Chan Medical School in the Lifeline for Families Group. Her research focuses on strengthening intimate relationships across the transition to parenthood to promote thriving families and optimal child development.
She developed the Before Baby Relationship Checkup, an evidence-based intervention that strengthens antenatal relational health to interrupt the generational transmission of trauma and protect parental well-being, creating the possibility of a fresh future for all women, children and families.
