Individual Psychotherapy: Dr. Darling crafts individualized treatment plans drawing from multiple modalities, depending on the problems you wish to address. While her primary orientation is relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, she draws from her extensive training in evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy as needed to provide relief and address roadblocks. She treats individuals across the lifespan with a range of conditions including mood disturbances, problems with excessive worry, complex trauma, relational difficulties, life transitions, and maternal mental health challenges.

Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy: Dr. Darling also has expertise in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, a novel adjunctive clinical tool for a range of “treatment-resistant” disorders including complex trauma and depression. She provides ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and works with individuals to integrate prior psychedelic psychotherapy experiences.

Couple and Family Therapy:
Dr. Darling has extensive expertise treating couples and families and works from an Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) framework, a contemporary evidence-based approach that identifies the interaction patterns couples get caught in and fosters an understanding of differences through emotional experiencing, promoting mutual empathy, compassion, and relational transformation. 

Health Insurance Policy
Dr. Darling does not participate in any health insurance plans as an in-network provider, which allows her to spend more time with each patient and eliminate excess paperwork, thereby delivering higher quality health care.

Dr. Darling is an out-of-network provider under all major insurance plans, but many insurance plans will reimburse some portion of the fee.  Insurance benefits vary so it is important to call and ask whether your plan reimburses for services with out-of-network providers.  Dr. Darling is happy to provide the necessary paperwork and documentation to obtain reimbursement from their insurance companies.
